about
I’m Nicole, a licensed therapist based in eastern Massachusetts.
I specialize in supporting parents and helping professionals who are tired of feeling burnt out and wanting to feel more connected with themselves and their lives.
My clients are often ‘doing it all’ but struggling internally with the weight of ‘fixing’ and the heaviness of everyone else’s expectations. I’m here to help you move from over-functioning and self-abandonment, to feeling more solid and grounded in yourself and what’s important to you.
WHAT GOT ME HERE:
Early in my career, I worked with children and families in schools, outpatient, and inpatient settings. I saw firsthand that when parents and caregivers engaged in their own work, their children benefited.
When mothers and helping professionals are supported and given space to do their own healing, there is a ripple effect.
I don’t believe it’s ever too early or too late to begin this journey.
MORE ABOUT MY APPROACH & BACKGROUND:
My approach is trauma-informed and compassionate. Using a blend of Somatic and Attachment-Focused EMDR (S.A.F.E.), ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), and other evidence-based modalities, therapy might include:
Understanding Survival Mechanisms: Building awareness of how people-pleasing and perfectionism were once skills that kept you safe and connected.
Reprocessing the Past: Untangling learned patterns from childhood and trauma so they don’t drive present day reactions.
Somatic Regulation: Using body-based interventions to calm your nervous system.
Sustainable Boundaries: Learning to set limits and release the guilt that can follow.
Grounded Parenting: Building the capacity to engage with your children from an intentional place rather than a reactive one (more often than not — you are human).
Values-Based Living: Defining what you actually want in this season of life independent of the roles you play for others.
PERSONAL:
Before returning to my home state of Massachusetts, I lived and traveled across the U.S. and Mexico. Outside of therapy, I can often be found hiking with my two kids or drinking coffee at the local bookstore.
